Educational Support Programme

Applications are now open to eligible members for scholarships and grants under the C&WJCCU Educational Support Programme.  The deadline for the application is the end of the day Friday, September 19, 2025.

Desmond Duval Scholarship:

The applicant should be commencing a first degree in Information Technology or Management Studies at an approved tertiary institution in Jamaica, starting in September 2025

Available scholarships:  

One (1) Scholarship, $200,000.00 for one (1) year.

Other requirements:
  1. In a typed essay of a maximum of 300 words, discuss the following topic: “C&WJCCUL is committed to the well-being of our community”. How do you think the C&WJCCUL can further advance its involvement in community development in Jamaica?
  2. A list of extracurricular activities and prizes or awards received.
  3. One passport-sized photograph.
  4. Continuation of the scholarship is based on satisfactory performance and conduct

Completed application form must be submitted to the Branch by Friday, September 19, 2025.

Ertis Blake Tertiary Scholarship:

The applicant should be pursuing a first degree (general programme) at an approved tertiary institution in Jamaica.

Available scholarships:  

One (1) Scholarship, $200,000.00 per year over (3) years.

Other requirements:
  1. In a typed essay of a maximum of 350 words, discuss the following topic: “C&WJCCUL is committed to the well-being of our community”. How do you think the C&WJCCUL can further advance its involvement in community development in Jamaica?
  2. A list of extra-curricular activities and prizes or awards received
  3. One passport-sized photograph.
  4. Continuation of the scholarship is based on good conduct and a satisfactory performance with a GPA of 3.0 and above

The applicant should be pursuing a first degree in Accounting or Management Studies at an approved tertiary institution in Jamaica.

Available scholarships:  

One (1) Scholarship, $200,000.00 per year over (3) years.

Other requirements:
  1. In a typed essay of a maximum of 350words, discuss the following topic: “C&WJCCUL is committed to the well-being of our community”. How do you think the C&WJCCUL can further advance its involvement in community development in Jamaica?
  2. A list of extra-curricular activities and prizes or awards received
  3. One passport-sized photograph.
  4. Continuation of the scholarship is based on good conduct and a satisfactory performance with a GPA of 3.0 and above

Leslie Mills Trust County Scholarship:

The applicant should be pursuing a CAPE course of studies in levels one and two commencing in September 2025 at an approved Secondary Institution or equivalent in Jamaica. 

Available scholarships:  

Three (3) Scholarships, one (1) per County (Cornwall, Middlesex & Surrey) $50,000.00 per year, payable over 2 years.

Other requirements:
  1. In a typed essay of a maximum of 300 words, discuss the following topic: “C&WJCCUL is committed to the well-being of our community”. How do you think the C&WJCCUL can further advance its involvement in
    Community development in Jamaica?
  2. A list of extra-curricular activities and prizes or awards received
  3. One passport-sized photograph.
  4. Continuation of the scholarship is based on good conduct and a satisfactory performance with a GPA of 3.0 and above.
